Muziek, sport, oud of nieuw, als het maar interessant genoeg is om te delen. Vandaag in de categorie oud en muziek, de documentaire Big Easy Express.<\/p>\n<p>In deze film, gemaakt door Emmett Malloy in 2012, worden drie bands op de trein gezet om een traintrip te maken van San Francisco naar New Orleans, waarbij ze vijf keer stoppen om op te treden. Ik zapte vorig jaar toevallig langs, kreeg meteen herinneringen aan mijn eigen traintrip van 23 uur van Alice Springs naar Darwin en aan live optredens op Lowlands. De drie bands die meereizen:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Old Crow Medicine Show<\/strong><br \/>\nBluegrass, folk en country door elkaar. De muziek volgens hun eigen website:<\/p>\n<p><em>If you sought comparisons for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros forthcoming self-titled album, you would hear the soulfulness of The Supremes\u2019 \u2018Where Did Our Love Go\u2019, the raw exuberant pop of The Beatles \u2018Yellow Submarine\u2019 and the psychedelic echoes of Jefferson Airplane\u2019s \u2018Surrealistic Pillow\u2019. But at its roots, the album shows a band evolved and hopeful for the future.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Bekendste nummer &#8216;Home&#8217;. Begonnen in 2007 in Londen, waarvan\u00a0iedereen wel nummers als &#8216;The Cave&#8217; en &#8216;Little Lion Man&#8217; kent.
